About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care across various Medical Surgical units. This role involves performing assessments, developing and evaluating individualized care plans, administering medications, coordinating care with healthcare team members, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality.
• Provide patient and family education on health management and care plans.
• Document patient care and progress accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
• Maintain adherence to safety, infection control, and age-appropriate care standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and excellent communication.
• Ensure cost-effective care while maintaining high service standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current Missouri RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills and professionalism.
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and infection control standards.
