Responsibilities

  • Respond to all Rapid Response Teams, Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts and any other patient care emergency.
  • Perform surveillance by identifying patients at risk for complications or becoming seriously ill using a proactive approach.
  • Make frequent rounds to collaborate with bedside nurses as part of consultation without intimidating them.
  • Provide nurse support, clinical knowledge, and expertise to build trust and familiarity with bedside teams.
  • Act as a teacher during and after events to support inexperienced nurses.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • No travel required.
  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 3–5 years of recent experience in an ICU or an ER.
