About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on pulmonary care. Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute medical conditions such as respiratory issues, lung transplants, and ventilator management. Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Educate patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, utilizing critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. Maintain certification requirements, with eligibility for CCRN exam after two years, and promote professional development through the BJC RN Career Ladder.

Qualifications
- Nursing diploma or associate's degree
- Current RN license
- Preferred bachelor's degree
- Less than two years of experience
