Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology - Sunnyview Rehab Hospital

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is a 115-bed acute care hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation and an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners.

About the role

Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position on the Neurology unit. Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 2 days per week with weekend commitment. Self-scheduling model.

The Neurology unit treats patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, concussions, and more. You will assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
• Design and implement treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.
• Perform complex patient assessments and implement intensive interventions.
• Receive specialized training on IVs, blood transfusions, wound vacs, peritoneal dialysis, and prosthetic training.

Requirements

• New York State RN License.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain high customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Pay range: $40.00 – $53.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
