Registered Nurse (RN) Day Shift Neurology - Sunnyview Rehab Hospital
Full-time, 12-hour day shift position on the Neurology unit at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, a 115-bed acute care hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation and an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners.
About the role
Assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The Neurology unit treats patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, concussions, and more. This is a self-scheduling model with a weekend commitment, working 3 days per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM). New RN graduates will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Design and implement treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.
- Perform complex patient assessments and implement intensive interventions (training provided).
- Trained specifically on IVs, blood transfusions, wound vacs, peritoneal dialysis, and prosthetic training.
Requirements
- New York State RN License.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain high customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pay
Pay range: $40.00 – $53.10 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
