Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology - PT Night - Sunnyview Rehab Hospital
About the Role
Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position on the Neurology unit at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, a 115-bed acute care hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation. This role is for the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 2 days per week with a weekend commitment, utilizing a self-scheduling model.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function, specifically treating patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, concussions, and more.
- Assist patients in adapting to an altered lifestyle while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Design and implement treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.
- Perform complex patient assessments and implement intensive interventions (training provided).
- Specifically trained on IVs, blood transfusions, wound vacs, peritoneal dialysis, and prosthetic training.
Requirements
- New York State RN License.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain high customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pay
Pay range: $40.00 - $53.10 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
