Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - FT Nights

About the role

RN Resident responsible for providing patient care, completing a 12‑month Nurse Residency Program, and supporting a smooth transition into professional practice for new graduates with less than 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practice and critical thinking.
• Deliver patient‑ and family‑centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering engagement and partnership with families.
• Ensure safe, high‑quality care through effective documentation and interdisciplinary communication.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and promote evidence‑based practice.
• Support resource management, develop protocols, and contribute to best‑practice outcomes.
• Complete orientation phases, including system, core, specialty onboarding, and monthly Nurse Residency Program sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Current RN license (multi‑state license preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than 1 year of RN experience required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and professional development skills.
