Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Nights

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care based on evidence-based practices. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring it is individualized and culturally sensitive. The nurse partners with patients and families, maintaining open communication and aligning care with patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and apply critical thinking to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Provide relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient demographics.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods, including bedside reports and education.
• Ensure documentation and delivery of safe, quality care consistent with clinical standards.
• Coordinate care with team members, promoting collaboration and respectful, inclusive environments.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice activities.
• Mentor and serve as a preceptor to foster professional growth and team development.
• Participate in protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with direct patient care preferred.
