Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Nights

Role Overview

The RN Resident is a newly licensed nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a successful transition into professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, safe, and high-quality patient care by performing the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and engaging families and significant others as care partners
• Demonstrate teamwork through effective communication, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities
• Promote evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to organizational policies and standards, including safety protocols
• Proactively plan patient care across the continuum, contribute to protocol development, and support resource efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program with less than one year of RN experience; BSN preferred
• Current RN license (multi-state or single-state) and BLS certification required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and professional development skills
