About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team providing high‑quality, safe, and individualized patient care. They practice within a clinical environment guided by evidence‑based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and shared governance, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Partner with patients and families, utilizing effective communication methods and respecting cultural diversity.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care through collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork and timely record‑keeping.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, evidence‑based practice, and research activities.
• Mentor and serve as a preceptor to promote a competent and healthy workforce.
• Develop protocols, participate in data collection, and optimize resource use to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification required upon hire.
