About the role

A Clinical Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Makes rounds to monitor patient condition and communicates with the care team, physician, patient, and family as necessary.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements

  • State of Michigan RN license.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
  • Two (2) years nursing experience.
  • Seven (7) years managerial experience (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a 54-bed acute Medical and Surgical unit.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges.
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Experience in patient education and advocacy.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer systems used for patient care documentation.

Pay

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus Available *Based on meeting eligibility requirements.

Schedule

Full-Time | 0.8 FTE | 8-hour shifts | Mid-shift (Evenings)
