About the role
Responsible for managing daily operations and long-term planning of a patient care unit, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead staff development, orientation, credentialing, and professional growth.
- Maintain standards of care, practice, and competency through ongoing education and evidence-based practices.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Participate in budget preparation and ensure financial targets are met.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and safety measures.
- Handle patient/customer relations, resolve complaints, and address risk management concerns.
- Recruit, hire, coach, evaluate, and retain staff.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
- NRP and PALS certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- 1–3 years leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and compliance with safety standards.
