Role Overview

The Nurse Manager oversees daily operations of a designated Med/Surg unit, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate patient care aligned with current standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage resource allocation, promote evidence-based practices, and support clinical and operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data to improve unit performance.
• Foster research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead and support nursing staff, promoting professional development and a positive work environment.
• Maintain current licensure and obtain specialty certification within one year of role acceptance.
• Support staff in adherence to policies, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN or equivalent required; Master's in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• National certification in specialty area within one year.
• Minimum of five years recent nursing experience, with two years in clinical hospital leadership.
• Leadership skills, ability to manage resources, and promote team collaboration.
