About the role
Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Full Time Nights Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Services department. This position is part of Lifepoint Health, a diverse healthcare network with facilities across the country.
Responsibilities
- Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
- Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
- Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
- Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
Requirements
- A current state RN license
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire
- One year of experience preferred
- ASLS certification preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and PALS certifications
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)
