Registered Nurse, (RN) Emergency Services

Join our Emergency Room (ER) team at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, a 14-bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care to critically ill patients. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll contribute to a culture of teamwork and effective communication, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support. Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized plan-of-care interventions and serve as a patient-care innovator to shape exceptional patient journeys.
- Leverage skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient well-being.
- Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
- Document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Support patients' families in improving patient abilities and coping with illness.
Requirements
- RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred.

Pay
This position is sign-on bonus eligible.
Schedule
Full-time nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
