About the role
Join Wilson Medical Center's Emergency Department, which consists of 26 treatment areas: 20 beds in the main ED, a 6-bay Fast Track area, and a vertical flow space. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional care. Our facility is a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center, with an average daily census of 120 patients. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
- TNCC, NRP, ENPC, or CEN preferred
- One year of ED experience required
