About the role
As an ED RN joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. ED provides unscheduled outpatient services to patients whose condition requires immediate care. ED is staffed 24/7/365. There are lots of learning opportunities, a teamwork-oriented environment, and plenty of excitement.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Makes rounds and monitors patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Aids patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- One to two years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Handle with Care- Advanced (within 90 days)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)

Pay
$7,500 Sign-On Bonus available to well qualified applicants
Schedule
6 x 12-hour Day shifts, 7a-7p, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
