Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Screening Per Diem Days

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.

Requirements

• ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability; willingness to meet the needs of the unit.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Behavioral Health experience required.
• Minimum two years recent/current acute care hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS Certification.
• Preferred: BSN.

Schedule

• Per Diem, Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
• Must be available to work one weekend shift per month.
• Must be available to work 2 shifts per month, Monday through Friday.
• Holiday requirements: 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day).

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 - $64.04 per hour if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
