Pay

$49.28 - $66.05 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Schedule

  • Per Diem, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Must be available to work one weekend shift per month
  • Must be available to work 2 shifts per month, Monday–Friday
  • Holiday requirements: 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day) and 1 winter holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day)

Qualifications

Required

  • ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited Nursing Program
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability; must be willing to meet the needs of the unit
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Behavioral Health experience
  • Minimum 2 years recent/current acute care hospital experience
  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
  • BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred

  • BSN
  • ACLS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
  • Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors
  • Understand and address the needs of the patient population served
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members
  • Collaborate with other patient care providers
  • Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes
  • Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs
  • Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager
