Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Per Diem Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering safe and excellent individualized patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring continuity and coordination across the care continuum.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data for comprehensive assessment.
• Develops and coordinates a plan of care that is patient-focused and prioritized.
• Communicates and coordinates care among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Administers medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
• Evaluates patient progress towards outcomes.
• Initiates interventions related to patient conditions and responses.
• Advises on ethical issues and enhances patient satisfaction.
• Acquires and maintains competencies and certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
• Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of hire.
