Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Medicine Unit - Nights

Position: Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, providing care for higher acuity patients. Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate care plans, ensuring interventions meet expected outcomes.Assess patients, collect health data, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team.Educate patients and families tailored to their needs, including disease management and emergency care.Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to professional development, and delegate tasks appropriately.Provide psychological support and assist technical staff with procedures such as injections and IV management.Participate in quality improvement, research activities, and stay current with practice trends.Monitor wound/ostomy/skin care effectiveness if skilled, and assist in patient transport as needed.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; current Illinois RN license.ACLS and BLS certifications; within 6 months of start, ACLS must be obtained.Preferred: Bachelor’s in Nursing and inpatient nursing experience. Skills: Strong assessment, communication, patient education, collaboration, and clinical skills. Key Duties: Providing comprehensive patient care, educating patients, collaborating with healthcare teams, participating in quality initiatives, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
