About the Role

The registered nurse (RN) coordinates patient care, provides direct care, delivers patient and family education, and manages care transitions. They support professional nursing practices across various settings and adhere to the Mayo Nursing Care Model, ensuring all nursing activities are planned, implemented, evaluated, and communicated effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient care activities and delegate tasks based on skill and patient acuity.
  • Demonstrate leadership through precepting and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

All newly graduated RNs are enrolled in a Nurse Residency Program with comprehensive orientation.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Current MN RN license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of RN or LPN experience preferred.
  • Strong mentoring, teaching, and communication skills.

This position qualifies for TN sponsorship, requiring completion of licensure and certification.

Pay

$38.83 - $59.41 per hour.

Schedule

  • Full-time, nonexempt position.
  • 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.
  • Includes holiday and every 3rd weekend rotations.
