Registered Nurse - Post Surgical

Position Overview Seeking a Nursing Leader for a 24-bed Post-Operative Bariatric unit specializing in weight loss surgeries such as Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy. The role involves coordinating staffing, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing/support staff during shifts.Assess patient care needs and develop appropriate care assignments.Evaluate patient outcomes and address issues impacting care quality.Respond to patient care concerns and manage through established channels.Contribute to hiring, training, and staff evaluation processes. Qualifications & Skills Current RN license in Alabama.BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months.Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
