About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic, patient-centered care utilizing nursing, biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care while adhering to ethical standards and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.
- Identify abnormal data, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and recognize safety risks.
- Develop and prioritize individualized care plans with measurable goals, involving patients and families.
- Implement evidence-based nursing actions, provide education, and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Evaluate patient responses, adjust care plans accordingly, and ensure continuity of care.
- Accurately document all aspects of care, including assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Demonstrate leadership by motivating, mentoring, and participating in quality improvement and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN licensure.
- BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months for specific units.
- BSN within 5 years of hire for new graduates.
- Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and competency maintenance.
