About the role
This nursing role requires providing holistic, patient-centered care by utilizing knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Diagnose patient needs and develop or revise individualized care plans
- Implement evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and communicate effectively using SBAR and handoff methods
- Participate in discharge planning
- Continuously evaluate patient responses and care effectiveness
- Document accurately in electronic medical records
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and motivating peers
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Adhere to organizational policies and maintain ongoing education
- Engage in professional development and community activities
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification within six months for specific units
Qualifications
- All nurses hired after January 2010 must obtain a BSN within five years (education requirements vary)
