Registered Nurse - Outpatient Dialysis

About the role

The registered nurse in outpatient dialysis provides direct patient care, education, and care transitions, supporting professional nursing practice across settings. The nurse coordinates all phases of nursing care, demonstrating leadership through mentorship, committee participation, and quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and support patient/family education.
• Support transitions of care and communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, acuity, and resources.
• Participate in leadership activities, including precepting and quality initiatives.
• Possibly drive personal vehicle for work-related duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• One year of RN experience, with dialysis experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and teamwork experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, adapt to unpredictable situations, and demonstrate leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• State licensure must be maintained.
