Registered Nurse - Night Shift
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Franklin Correctional Institution requires an Associate's degree and a Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is also required. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
About the role
The RN provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team is essential to identify, assess, and respond to the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs.
- Assess and document patient conditions and progress.
- Implement treatment plans and monitor patient responses.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing (RN).
- Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.
