About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a Neurosurgical ICU. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, intracranial hemorrhage, spinal cord injuries, and post-surgical cases.
Responsibilities
- monitoring and managing patients on ventilators
- titratable drips
- intracranial pressure monitoring
- performing detailed neurological assessments
- collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- At least one year of acute nursing experience
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
