About the role
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and aligns duties with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Care for a diverse patient population in a Med/Surg unit, including GI, Oncology, Post-Op, COPD, Pneumonia, UTI, Dehydration, and Wound Care.
- Maintain RN-to-Patient ratio of 1:6 with support from Patient Care Associates.
- Ensure high-quality care through teamwork, accountability, and support.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Active RN license.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and unit-specific requirements.
- Must meet state nursing requirements and physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing.
