REGISTERED NURSE MANAGER - EMERGENCY SERVICES

About the role

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall daily function and staffing of the Emergency Services Department
• Monitor and evaluate provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives

Qualifications

• Recent acute ER leadership experience required (ideally 2-3+ years of recent/consistent leadership experience – willing to review Charge experience but prefer Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Manager experience)
• Strong and recent acute care emergency services experience (3-5+ years of experience) required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – preferred
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation – required

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support – preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course – preferred
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (or PALS) – required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (or ENPC) – required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program – preferred
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention – preferred
