Responsibilities
- Plan, organize by setting goals and objectives, and direct all unit activities by assuming responsibility for the nursing care given on a designated patient care unit.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of staff and unit performance.
- Coordinate unit activities with other departments.
- Assume accountability for specific operational and personnel activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience, with at least one year in the related clinical area.
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Complete PALS, ENPC, and ACLE within 1 year after hire.
- Hold a current professional nurse license; Texas State RN license or compact license required.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (or related field).
