Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift

About the Role

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a Labor and Delivery setting on the night shift. This role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, assessing patients, and ensuring high-quality care through effective communication and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver coordinated care
• Assess patients and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Educate patients on health management and self-care
• Support the professional development of colleagues
• Assist with technical procedures as needed
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities
• Monitor wound/ostomy care if skilled
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with patient transport as needed

Requirements

• Valid Illinois RN license
• Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• BLS/CPR certification
• 2+ years of labor/delivery or acute care experience (preferred)
• Labor and delivery experience is advantageous
