Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery - Night Shift

About the Role

Provides professional nursing care in a Labor & Delivery setting, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care. Delegates tasks appropriately and collaborates with team members to meet unit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient conditions and monitoring progress
• Recognizing changes and recording observations
• Following hospital policies and Illinois Nurse Practice Act
• Providing safe, effective care based on clinical standards
• Deliver nursing care during night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays, while ensuring compliance with safety and clinical protocols

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within five years if only an Associate Degree
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, C-EFM, and NRP certifications within specified timeframes
• Labor and delivery experience preferred

Schedule

Night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
