Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery, providing direct patient care in a full-time night shift position.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and supporting laboring patients with electronic fetal monitoring expertise
- Administering medications and performing assessments to ensure maternal and neonatal safety
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver quality care
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with clinical protocols
- Providing specialized labor and delivery nursing care
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort during labor
- Supporting neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring
- Adhering to hospital policies and clinical standards
Requirements
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if only Associate Degree held
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (within six months)
- C-EFM certification (within one year)
- NRP certification (within six months)
- Preferred: 2+ years of labor and delivery experience
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
