About the Role
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides safe, compassionate care by developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, assess patient needs, communicate effectively with patients and families, and educate on disease management and self-care strategies. The nurse supports professional development, participates in performance improvement, and assists with technical procedures such as injections, venipuncture, and IV management. They monitor wound and skin care, ensure HIPAA compliance, and assist with transporting acutely ill patients.
Qualifications
- Current Illinois nursing license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- BLS/CPR certified
- At least 2 years of labor and delivery or acute care experience preferred
