Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift

Position: Registered Nurse – Night Shift Location: Evanston Hospital, IL Role Overview: Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Key Responsibilities Assess patients, gather health data, and communicate care plans respecting patient and family preferences.Provide education tailored to patient needs, considering cultural background and learning styles.Support professional development of colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team environment.Assist with technical procedures such as injections, venipuncture, and IV management.Participate in performance improvement and research activities, staying updated on best practices.Monitor wound/ostomy/skin care treatments and ensure compliance with regulations.Transport acutely ill patients as needed. Qualifications & Skills Current Illinois RN license.Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.Experience in Labor and Delivery or acute care preferred.Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills.
