Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift

Position: Registered Nurse – Night Shift Role Overview: Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Develop and revise care interventions, assess patient health data, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians. Offer patient education tailored to cultural backgrounds and learning styles, and support community resources for disease management. Contribute to professional development, participate in performance improvement, and support evidence-based practices. Assist technical staff with procedures and monitor wound/ostomy/skin care if skilled. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and assist in patient transport as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Current IL nursing licenseGraduate of NLN-accredited nursing school; BSN preferredBLS/CPR certification from the American Heart AssociationAt least 2 years of Labor and Delivery or acute care experience preferredStrong communication, assessment, and patient education skillsAbility to collaborate within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to professional development and evidence-based care Key Duties: Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plansAssess patients, gather health data, and communicate effectivelyProvide individualized patient and family educationSupport interdisciplinary team collaborationParticipate in performance improvement and research activitiesAssist with technical procedures and wound care if qualifiedMaintain compliance with healthcare regulations
