Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit - Days

About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a critical care setting, specifically within an intermediate care unit that handles complex medical conditions and stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Reassessment: Systematically evaluate patients' health needs, involving patients, families, and healthcare teams as appropriate.
• Nursing Diagnosis & Outcomes: Analyze assessments to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes collaboratively.
• Implementation & Coordination: Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions to achieve patient care goals, coordinating with the care team.
• Evaluation: Monitor and assess patient outcomes, using critical thinking to address problems and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Discharge Planning: Evaluate and coordinate discharge needs, utilizing available resources.
• Professional Practice: Maintain high standards of nursing practice, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
• Current Oklahoma RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained.
• New graduates must complete a nurse residency program.
