About the role
The RN in the Critical Care Unit is responsible for delivering personalized, precise patient care by developing and adapting treatment plans, monitoring patient status, and communicating changes effectively. They coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and advocate for patients throughout their stay, including early discharge planning to ensure safe transitions home.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and evolve individualized care plans to meet clinical needs.
- Accurately track and communicate patient status changes to the healthcare team.
- Coordinate care among doctors, specialists, and support staff for a unified patient experience.
- Identify and manage discharge needs to facilitate safe and confident transitions.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi-state/Compact State license.
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
