Registered Nurse - ICU

Role Overview

A skilled nurse practicing independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to ensure effective clinical management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs; educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a related specialty preferred; new graduates considered.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Required certifications include BLS and ACLS.
• Completion of organizational onboarding and annual competency validation.

Additional Requirements

• Attend orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Obtain additional certifications within specified grace periods based on experience and specialty.

Schedule

Full-time position with scheduled hours from 7PM to 7AM.
