Registered Nurse - ICU

About the Role

This is a PRN Day Shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in an ICU setting, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, including admission, transfer, and post-procedure evaluations.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and protocols.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and provide patient and family education.
• Recognize changes in patient condition, implement appropriate actions, and document care and responses.
• Provide specialized high-risk care, including restraint use, pain management, and abuse assessment.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, ensuring effective communication and quality, cost-effective service.
• Engage in professional development, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
• Deliver age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Support a respectful, compassionate environment by demonstrating empathy, teamwork, and professionalism.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in applicable states (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
• BLS certification.
• Ability to perform assessments, collaborate, adapt to changing demands, and maintain safety standards.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-centered care skills.
• Commitment to infection control, professional growth, and service excellence.
