Registered Nurse - Head Nurse

Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a designated nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to make critical decisions, ensuring safe, high-quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and driving improvements in healthcare delivery. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement department improvements.Guide staff during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.Innovate work processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities, including coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Engage in initiatives to improve healthcare delivery and communicate effectively with team members.Support ongoing professional development and perform additional assigned duties. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar unit or specialty area.Computer literacy is required; additional preferred certifications include ACLS.Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and BLS certification within 14 days of hire are mandatory.
