Registered Nurse - Head Nurse

Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department or unit. They utilize the nursing process to make clinical decisions, ensuring safe, high-quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. They provide clinical leadership by guiding nursing staff, collaborating with leadership, and maintaining care continuity aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement change.Provide guidance during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Engage in activities aimed at improving healthcare delivery and support lifelong learning.Communicate effectively with team members to provide comprehensive patient care.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting or specialty.Computer literacy.RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
