Role Overview The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department or unit. They utilize the nursing process for clinical decision-making, ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Key Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data related to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement department improvements.Guide staff during critical, life-threatening situations.Evaluate intervention effectiveness and patient outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient care results.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate patient care.Support ongoing learning and professional development.Perform other assigned duties as required. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant unit or specialty area.Proficiency in computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hiring; ACLS preferred.
