About the role

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing unit. The role involves providing clinical leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for department improvements and implement change.
• Guide and intervene during life-threatening situations.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and patient outcomes.
• Implement innovative processes to enhance patient care.
• Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Support ongoing learning and professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting or specialty area.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire (preferred ACLS).
• Computer literacy (required).
