Registered Nurse - Full-Time Nights

About the Role

Join a groundbreaking team at the forefront of Peer-Powered Support, empowering individuals on their journey through mental health and substance use challenges. This full-time, non-exempt Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served, while also serving as a clinical liaison until individuals are enrolled in services at another community facility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates services with various public and private community health, mental health, and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.
• Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.
• Conducts assessments and treatment plans.
• Provides individual and family counseling.
• Participates in the development of educational curriculum.
• Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes and blood pressure.
• Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed.
• Coordinates relationships with outside medical and nursing support services, including pharmacy and laboratory services.
• Administers medication as required by protocol.
• Completes clinical documentation as required.
• Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws, as well as Recovery Innovations policies.
• Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Valid and current state-specific RN license (Compact licensure preferred).
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications, their indications, common side effects, reactions, and interactions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and problem-solve.
• Ability to conduct assessments and treatment plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective listening and excellent documentation skills.
• Trauma Informed Care experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or meet state-specific age requirements).
• Must pass a seven-year background check, substance abuse testing, tuberculosis testing (if applicable), education verification, and designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states.
• Must pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements of the insurance carrier if driving is required.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
• Travel may be required based on business need.

Pay

$35.00 - $42.00/hour, with a $12,000 retention bonus paid out every 6 months in $3,000 increments.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.

Physical Demands

• May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Use of corrected vision, color vision, and auditory senses.
• May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.

Work Environment

• May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility.
• May have contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused.
• Work may include travel throughout the geographic region.
