About the Role
The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice according to professional standards, including the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics, emphasizing patient advocacy and system policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal-setting.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork and respectful interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Support professional development as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold organizational policies and safety standards.
- Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and patient care across the continuum.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
- Current RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact).
- Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Required certifications include BLS, NRP, and relevant licensure.
