Registered Nurse-Endocrinology-Ambulatory Triage

In the Endocrinology Clinic, you'll build meaningful patient relationships while managing complex endocrine conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hormonal health concerns.

This fast-paced ambulatory clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and supports four physicians and one dietitian, with an additional physician and nurse practitioner joining the team this fall. The Triage RN will manage outpatient telephone triage, assess patient symptoms, handle a high volume of patient calls and messages, coordinate care with providers, and provide education that impacts patients' long-term health within a nationally recognized, patient-centered health system.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of RN triage experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
• Two years of experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
• Knowledge of clinical procedures and familiarity with designated equipment and supplies
• Ability to coordinate care for a group of patients effectively and timely
• Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities
• Ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
