Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They practice evidence-based nursing, utilizing critical thinking and individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families, ensuring effective communication, including bedside reports and teaching, while respecting cultural diversity. They coordinate care documentation and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on current standards.Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient needs.Collaborate with the healthcare team through interdisciplinary communication and shared governance.Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice.Mentor and serve as a preceptor for staff and students to foster a skilled workforce.Participate in protocol development and resource management to enhance care quality. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Valid RN license and required certifications (BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS) Minimum 5 years RN experience Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations Proficiency in healthcare technology and documentation
