Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team. They perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, utilizing evidence-based practices and critical thinking. The RN collaborates with patients and families, adapting care to cultural and individual needs, and maintains relationships through effective communication methods. They ensure documentation accuracy and promote a respectful, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, individualized care aligned with clinical standards and organizational policies.Coordinate interdisciplinary communication and documentation to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to enhance care quality.Support professional development by completing competency assessments and mentoring colleagues.Promote evidence-based practice, clinical research, and resource management.Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum and contribute to protocol development.Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.Current RN licensure, with multi-state licensure preferred.Required certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS, and additional certifications as applicable.Minimum of 5 years RN experience.Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively.
